Full-Time Faculty Member at Shady Grove

If you are a full-time faculty member at the Shady Grove campus, you may purchase a semester or annual parking pass by registering online. You may also choose to pay for hourly parking, occasional parking, or per-use parking, which does not require registration. For more information and/or to register, go to:

Part-Time Faculty Member at Shady Grove

If you are a part-time faculty member at the Shady Grove campus AND a full-time faculty member at the College Park campus (paying a full parking rate at the College Park campus), you are eligible for a parking credential at no charge under the current pilot program. For that, you will need to:

  1. Contact the InfoSci-Shady Grove Assistant Director and notify them that you need access to Shady Grove parking for a particular academic semester. The Assistant Director will submit a request on your behalf to the Shady Grove Transportation office;

  2. Visit the Shady Grove Transportation and Parking Services office on the first floor in Building II to pick up your parking pass (Note: you would be required to show your University ID). Their office hours are: Monday-Friday 9 am to 4:30 pm.

Part-Time Faculty Member at Shady Grove and Full-Time Faculty Member at an Academic Institution

If you are a part-time faculty member at the Shady Grove AND a full-time faculty member at any other academic institution (other than the University of Maryland College Park), you would need to purchase a semester or annual parking pass. Parking rates can be found here (NOTE: all part-time USG faculty are classified as Tier 1): https://www.shadygrove.umd.edu/about-usg/directions-transportation/parking/employee.

You would need to:

  1. Contact the InfoSci-Shady Grove Assistant Director and notify them that you need access to Shady Grove parking for a particular academic semester. The Assistant Director will submit a request on your behalf to the Shady Grove Transportation office;

  2. Visit the USG Transportation and Parking Services office on the first floor in Building II to purchase your parking pass (Note: you would be required to show your University ID). Their office hours are: Monday-Friday 9am to 4:30pm.
