This how-to describes how to connect a remote file share via RDP connection using Microsoft Remote Desktop to an Ubuntu server.

Instructions

  1. Edit the remote desktop connection.

  2. Select the folders Menu.

  3. Check the box for ‘redirect folders’.

  4. Add a new folder path.

  5. Select the path you want to share to the remote machine.

  6. Connect to the remote machine and open the file navigator.

  7. Open the connected thinclient drive.
