New Course-Level RDBMS Solution Inquiry

New Course-Level RDBMS Solution Inquiry

Brief

Consider the database courses (INST123/327/733), and we've been discussing the possibility of a cloud-based solution for the RDBMS that we use in the courses. Currently, students install the required RDBMS (MySQL or PostgreSQL) on their laptops and work on their standalone servers. Since all of these courses include team database design projects this means that students are collaborating in a very 20th-century way. Some of our students have independently set up cloud-based solutions for their teams, but we want to talk about the possibility of a course-level solution.
